Matt Oliver, Owner
Born and raised in South Louisiana, Matt joined the U.S. Marine Corps after high school where he served as a rifleman and later reenlisted in the Army where he served as a Human Intelligence Collector for a total of 18 years. Matt served multiple combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan between the Marines and the Army. After his service, he moved back to South Louisiana where he started Advantage Training Academy, instructing security officers throughout the State of Louisiana on basic security courses, firearms, handcuffing, behavioral management, Taser, leadership, and report writing as well as training civilians in multiple classes, including the Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit Course. Matt is married to his wife of five years, Casey, has two young children, Lincoln and Piper, and enjoys spending time with family when he’s not working.
